Dear Neighbor,

Nobody could have predicted the unfortunate political events of the past ten months. The District Four Board of Supervisor's seat is again without an elected incumbent. I did not seek another campaign, but I cannot easily ignore the strong encouragement from family, friends, and neighbors. I have decided to finish what we started and run once again for this position.

The concerns of San Francisco's middle class families continue to be lost amid the special interests that dominate City Hall. Our middle class values of hard work and playing by the rules can only be represented by a lifelong Sunset resident who understands the concerns of our neighborhood and City.

Many of you have helped me in previous elections. Each campaign has attracted new contributors and volunteers, and the voters have demonstrated their broad support for my candidacy. Rest assured, I would not subject my family to this process if I were not confident we could win. I have already received the coveted endorsement of the Building & Trades Council!

Our neighborhoods have done our part for the political careers of others. It is time we elect someone who has been a consistent voice for working families.

I remain the only candidate who can bring all of District 4 together.

As an active community volunteer, small businessperson, parent and Sunset native, I will make tackling real life issues my first priority in City Hall -- it's our time.
